![]() ![]() Of particular note, if I use a VPN I often get faster download rates than on Google Fiber native to these same sites, often 500Mbit (vs GF 100-200Mbit!) Using Speedtest, from Austin, I get ~100-~200Mbit download / 900Mbit+ upload rates to most sites on Speedtest, hardwired to the jack, with occasional exceptions that are full speed each way. I've been exploring this issue for a month and half. ![]() While it's true that not every speed test site will give maximum speeds, I am seeing such a pervasive pattern of under performance, that something else is going on. All they care about is that I get full speed to their Austin (local) speed test site. I couldn't get anywhere making Google Fiber frontline support to accept my problem for further evaluation, and look into it, so I am looking here for a reality check. ![]()
